IMC oncology building is one of the major pillars of IMC.
It encompasses 3 major departments; nuclear medicine, gamma knife, and radiotherapy.
Radiation Therapy
Radiation Therapy Department is a well-equipped department with up-to-date teletherapy machines delivering 3D conformal, IMRT, and VMAT(Rapid arc) radiation therapy.
Bone marrow transplantation unit
The unit contains four highly isolated and super-equipped units for autologous and allogeneic transplantation of hematological cancers. The unit has a direct axis with the National Marrow Donor Program to have the facility of searching for matched unrelated donors (MUD).
Gamma Knife
The gamma knife is the most recent tool to treat a variety of brain lesions via radio-surgery without direct surgical intervention but through beams of stereotactic calculated radiation source of cobalt 60. It is a surgical precision tool in a neurosurgeon’s hand.
